Bad Friends Vol. 1/2

I called Charity and Justin at about 6pm today. That was just a time that was convient for me. I wasn't really thinking of what they'd being doing, that's just one example of how I'm a Bad Friend. And boy, did I ever luck out -- they were making a homemade dinner and I suggested that homemade dinners are best with friends (aka us.) Charity said we should come over as soon as possible since they were hungry and the food was almost done. I told her we'd be there in 15 minutes. You know that book Love Story, when the one character says "being in love means you never have to say you're sorry." Well, I have a corrolary to that which goes "being a friend means you never have to ask if your friends who are making you dinner need any help of need you to bring anything." Its so true. So Digory and I just sat pretty for about two hours. (It was a MTV Real World marathon. I love it when the people stop being nice and start getting real.) Then suddenly I heard my stomach growl and remembered our commitment. So we ambled over and thankfully the food was still hot. And it was so good. It was too bad that Charity and Justin hadn't made more. I mean I Digory and I were satisfied with our bowls of delicous stew, but Charity and Justin had to share a bowl. Well, to quell their hunger after dinner Digory had one of our very interesting converations for Justin. He just listened with awe, while Charity made us tea. Then Justin started to seem sorta tired and mentioned that he had to get up at 5am for a long work day the next morning. Well, we were pretty understanding and said goodbye. I mean even they could have been considerate and entertained us more, since we have part-time jobs and usually sleep til noon. I think that's step to being Good Friends.

Prologue

Bad Friends Log Vol. 1
**All names have been changed to protect the guilty. I am very, guilty.

My name is Missy. I have a great boyfriend named Digory. But we are both Bad Friends. We didn't used to be Bad Friends until we met Charity and Justin. They are just such primo examples of Good Friends and that made us realize what we are. These are the logs detailing our encounters. Please feel with the heros, Missy (that's me) and Digory (my great boyfriend) as we struggle to be not-quite-so-Bad Friends.

Bad Friends Blog Vol. 2

Today Digory and I went to a movie that Charity and Justin had invited us to and really wanted to see... without them. No, just kidding, we aren't that Bad Friends (are we?) Anyway, we went to this movie that they really wanted to see with them. I drove over to their place. Of course I was pretty late. So late that when I got to their house and called up, Charity said, "Please tell me you're right outside right?" Well I said yes, but I guess she had meant "you" in the plural sense as they were shocked to see that Digory wasn't there. "Oh, we have to pick him up at work, but don't worry I'll just drive extra fast." There was ONLY one accident I almost got into. But luckily they were both sitting in the backseat where its safe (they couldn't sit up front -- I had my dinner -- a Supersized McDonald's Fries on the front seat.) Then at the theater Digory was so sweet and volunteered to getus popcorn. Charity said, "no butter, please." But she couldn't have really meant it, right? Gooey yellow movie-popcorn butter is the best, so I put extra on our popcorn. Thank goodness I saved the day popcorn-wise. I am well on the road to becoming a Good Friend.
