Bad Friends Vol. 1/2
I called Charity and Justin at about 6pm today. That was just a time that was convient for me. I wasn't really thinking of what they'd being doing, that's just one example of how I'm a Bad Friend. And boy, did I ever luck out -- they were making a homemade dinner and I suggested that homemade dinners are best with friends (aka us.) Charity said we should come over as soon as possible since they were hungry and the food was almost done. I told her we'd be there in 15 minutes. You know that book Love Story, when the one character says "being in love means you never have to say you're sorry." Well, I have a corrolary to that which goes "being a friend means you never have to ask if your friends who are making you dinner need any help of need you to bring anything." Its so true. So Digory and I just sat pretty for about two hours. (It was a MTV Real World marathon. I love it when the people stop being nice and start getting real.) Then suddenly I heard my stomach growl and remembered our commitment. So we ambled over and thankfully the food was still hot. And it was so good. It was too bad that Charity and Justin hadn't made more. I mean I Digory and I were satisfied with our bowls of delicous stew, but Charity and Justin had to share a bowl. Well, to quell their hunger after dinner Digory had one of our very interesting converations for Justin. He just listened with awe, while Charity made us tea. Then Justin started to seem sorta tired and mentioned that he had to get up at 5am for a long work day the next morning. Well, we were pretty understanding and said goodbye. I mean even they could have been considerate and entertained us more, since we have part-time jobs and usually sleep til noon. I think that's step to being Good Friends.
